Narato Academy

The last few months a lot of people joined us at Narato. This means that people with a lot of  different backgrounds are working on a lot of different projects. Some motivated people of Narato therefore joined hands and started a division within Narato called Narato Academy. They  organise get-togethers with the Narato team to offer learning opportunities, because we are working in an ever-chaninging work environment. Not only does Narato Acacdemy help us to be always up-to-date on the latest technology develpmonts, it is also a great chance to see your colleagues and to really get to know everybody at Narato.

Microsoft Azure

The last event that Narato Academy organised took place on the 29th of May.  Narato met up to enjoy an evening with a guest speaker, Mike Martin, who enlightened us on Window Azure.

Formerly known as Windows Azure, Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft. A number of applications and services  can be build, tested deployed and managed through a global network of Microsoft managed data centers. Microsoft Azure provides different services like software (SAAS), platform and infrastructure. It is not restricted to Microsoft-specific software and systems but is also compatable with third party software suppliers. Mike Martin gave us a detailed overview of all the features and the possibilities for Microsoft Azure. Azure 360° was an amazing experience that offered a lot of insight into this system.

Because it is a lot to take in all at once and because we believe in spreading knowledge, we have posted the full talk on our Narato YouTube channel. This will give you the opportunity to check out what Mike Martin is talking about and discover Azure for yourself! While you’re at it, check out the other videos we have posted as well! It is still a work in progress, but if w ediscover something interesting we will definitely post about it on our channel. If you have good ideas for Narato Academy, don’t hesitate to contact us! Who knows, it might lead to the next evening of bright ideas…
