Working at Narato: testimonials from Nadya, David en Klaartje
Narato keeps on growing
Narato is steadily working on becoming bigger and better. To do this, we keep on looking for people to join our team. We need people that are driven and talented, but that also like to be a real part of Narato. We hope to offer our employees all they need to thrive in their jobs. There are interesting things to do, a little fun here and there, like our new pool table, but there’s also the opportunity to grow and learn. Three people that recently joined us would like to share their view on their first Narato experiences! Don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to join us!
A few years ago, I decided to switch careers. I got a degree in applied computer sciences and interned at Narato. When they offered me the chance to stay, I didn’t hesitate and signed the contract. I haven’t regretted it! Right from the start I could join a team that was working on a big project. Thanks to the clear communication strategy, good guidance and nice atmosphere in our team, I felt productive straight away. Even as a junior, I feel that I can really contribute and be an asset to the team. I have learned so much since I have been working here these last few months!
But Narato is more than just a job! Thanks to Narato Academy, you get a chance to learn about the newest gadgets, technologies and ideas. We are also a great group of fun colleagues. We get together from time to time to get to know each other and to relax after work. And last but not least, our offices are great! There’s a pool table and a place to lounge. There are a few standing desks and a lot of big desks are also avaible, so you have lots of space to get your work done!
Last year I was in my senior year at college. All that I had left to do was to find a suitable internship to gracefully end my career at school. I didn’t want to just finish school and leave with empty hands, I wanted to be part of something bigger. This was a step into my future with a fair chance of being able to step into the world of ICT. Since I didn’t like recruiting companies or playing it safe, I started a search of my own. I typed some keywords into Google and this led me to Narato.
When I looked at the website, I realized this looked like the place I had envisioned. A young company , plenty of breathing room to grow and learn. The website outlined a few ideas I agreed with. I didn’t hesitate and took the chance. They asked me for an interview, listened to my story and eventually granted me the honor of being the first official intern starting at the company. I got my degree and Narato was where I wanted to stay. I had learned a lot, but still had some learning to do. Nevertheless, they gave me an opportunity to show what I was worth with a final test. I passed it and finally paved the road to scoring my IBO contract, so now I’m part of the team!
Narato chose to invest time in somebody who was still learning. They looked beyond our skills, because we can always improve those. How we fit into the team and how we are as people, is also important at Narato. My colleagues where all helpful and friendly too. I consider myself lucky to be part of the team. This company understands the struggles of being a junior. I can conclude only that Narato really is the place where ‘Your story starts’
Last year, when I decided to go back to school, I never expected things to go so fast for me professionally. I wasn’t really looking for a job just yet, but then I was invited for an interview at Narato. The company really intrigued me. Narato puts its people first, cares about the environment, motivates its employees to learn and use new technologies. It sounded too good to be true, but I had to find out for myself.
During my first interview, I noticed that the person I was talking to, Patrick De Block, spoke very passionately of his company and team. We agreed on doing a two-week internship. This way they could see how quickly I would learn something new and I could get to know the team. Most people don’t consider work much fun, but I had a lot of fun those two weeks. I learned a new technology, got to know the people of Narato and experienced working in a relaxing environment. I knew this was where I wanted to work. Luckily, they offered me a job! I’ve been with Narato for a month now. I’m also still in college to finish my degree and in the meantime, I’m learning things much quicker thanks to Narato.
